Live Performance Series

When creating her first body of work to be shared Ella Eva West knew she wanted it to be live. Her songs were written with the intention of being shared face to face where the stories and emotions behind them could come to life. Creating this live performance series is her way of sharing music so that the listener can experience the moment they were recorded where the storytelling, singing and instruments all come together as one.

This series features three original songs written by Ella Eva West alongside a traditional bluegrass cover written and originally performed by The Stanley Brothers.

LACKING LOVE BY ELLA EVA WEST

Life is full of enticing escapisms and if we let them, they can steer us so far from our path we can’t find our way back. Best to wake up and smell the roses even if they’ve gone rotten!

This is a live performance video of Ella Eva West’s original song ‘Lacking Love’. It's about embracing what you can and cannot change about yourself in order to become the person you were always meant to be.

MEANT TO BE BY ELLA EVA WEST

In life we will endure overwhelming grief not only for those gone but for those still with us. Through all seasons we hold onto unconditional love and know that we will find each other again where the sky is always blue and the loons swim by.

The live performance video of ‘Meant To Be’ is a love letter to the ones that we have lost and the ones we love who have lost themselves. Grief can feel like a road with no end. We must believe our truest selves always exist within us and whether or not we find it in this lifetime or the next we will be reunited with the ones we love.

I Don’t Want Your Rambling Letters

DAKOTA BY ELLA EVA WEST

Your love pulled me apart so I could put myself together again.

‘Dakota’ is a song I wrote about chasing a love you want but not a love you need. It challenges the want and where it comes from as well as its dangers. Follow your heart but don’t let it runaway from what’s true to you.
